Breeze
Maplegrove Saratoga Sunrise
Breeze came to live
with us completely by fluke and we can’t imagine
what life would be like if she wasn’t part of our
family. She is my companion, best friend, and
guard dog which is ironic because she wouldn’t hurt
a fly but she has a very deep bark so she sounds
much bigger than she is. Grandma Breeze as she
will now be proudly referred has blessed us with
some beautiful offspring.
She came very close
to finishing her championship and would have
finished easily but we had decided to breed her with
the idea that someday we would put her back in the
ring. Breeze carries a lovely thick red coat in the
winter and unfortunately for us we do not have very
many shows in our area during this time of year.
After 3 litters and always being “out of coat”
during the show season we retired Breeze from the
ring to allow her children to take over the lime
light.
She is the smartest
golden we have here at Tenpenny and she seems to
pass these brains on to her offspring. She will
retrieve until the sun comes down. She is a very
traditional, athletic Golden retriever that truly
reminds you of what the breed was truly bred for.
It’s funny to watch her face turn grey as she ages
because she will always seem like that handful of a
red puppy she was the day she arrived.
